TCBC 2020 Virtual Camp Retreat!

Instructions for Third Creeks 2020 Virtual Camp Retreat:

Be sure to take a picture, make a short video, and write or video a response to your scripture.  Send all to joanfite2016@gmail.com.   All questions call Miss. Joan at 980-434-5232.

 

 

Thursday:

  1. Good morning - - In your house somewhere erect a tent.  It can be a sheet over chairs, a small tent, or use your imagination in making one.  If you have sleeping bags be sure to put them inside for sleeping on.  Send me a picture of your tent.  Be sure to sleep there on Thursday and Friday nights.
  2. Be sure your Youth Achievement forms are completed and submitted.   They came with your J.A.M. Newsletter and can be located on the website:  www.3rdcreekbaptist.org under the Youth Ministry tab.  If no web access you can take a picture and text to 708-218-8375.
  3. Crafts: make a game: Horse-shoes can be made of paper towel tubes with the shoes themselves out of card board box.  Be sure to decorate.             Ring-toss from cans or bottles, rings can be pipe cleaners or cardboard box circles.  Corn-hole game can be made of two boxes with holds cut into them; use a sock stuffed with rocks/pebbles to toss.  Any other game you can create.  Be sure to decorate.  Send us a picture of your game and/or you playing your game.
  4. If you have bike ride them for at least 15 minutes.  You can skate, jump rope, basketball or any type of activity.
  5. Look at the verse that is appropriate for you grade level: Begin to meditate on it…
    1. Preschool: John 11:35 Jesus Wept  (why?)
    2. Elementary: Psalm 127:3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
    3. Middle School: Romans 1:25 …because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
    4. High School:  Lamentations 3:22-23  The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;  23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
    5. College-University:  2 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it
  6. Using your flashlights as your fire at night sing the Spongebob Squarepants “The Campfire Song Song”.  Can be found on your computer.  I will send the words if you need them.

 

 

 

Friday:

  1. Good Morning -  - Let’s read the Bible verse again
  2. Nature watch:  Bird watching or animal watching (be sure to tell us about what you saw) or gather some pine-cones, rocks, flowers, etc. make a glass garden in a jar.  Do you have any edible things around you like berries, nuts, any other items?  (Talk about them)
  3. Talents/Skills: Can you knit, sew, draw, needle point, lego building, or any other talent or skill (send a picture or video), if not make up a 30 second to a one-minute campfire story. (remember your story should be scary).
  4. If you can have your dinner at 7pm we can all do together. Enjoy some hot dogs/polish or Italian sausages, chips, a drink, something sweet at your camp site.  Be sure you have your flashlights as the fire going.  Take those pictures.

Saturday:

  1. Good Morning -  - Let’s read the Bible verse again:  Now video, draw a picture, or in some way tell us what that verse is saying to you?
  2. Put your tent makings away in short clean-up.. 😊
  3. Be sure to send/upload via email all of your pictures, videos, writings.
  4. God Bless see you online and be sure Miss Joan has your school information for the youth presentations, which will be virtual as well, (NLT June 28, 2020) but the gifts will be mailed.  Need those addresses.

 

 

Sunday:

On June 14th tune in via Facebook live, conference call- one phone line per house hold by 10:20am 704-471-3340, or TCBC Drive in for the message designed for our youth give by Minister Elliott Boston.
